I'm 23 yo israeli man who loves music, writing, programming, photography, electronics and all stuff indie
when in was in middle school one of the students mom gave us a course on html and css and that sparked by love of programming, and from 2015 till today (11 years wtf) and fiddling around with everything that can be done with a text editor and a computer
I'm an avid linux user, currently running cachyos on my main pc (yeah its as they say arch but faster) and fedora 44 on my laptop
PS: there will be a lot more content in then future, i just put this out to put something out already and to stop wasting my time waiting for the right moment, so stay tuned and I tell you there is stuff planned

For a bit less than 2 years (I think since September 2024) I have been using Darktable to edit photos I take with my Samsung Galaxy S23 I love the psycadelic fucked up edits that I make and I hope you feel like that as well
Been using it since 2020, started with ubuntu and Pop_OS! (back when it was still in gnome) moved to manjaro and then Arch then back to ubuntu and then cachy, Also ive been using fedora as secondary OS for some time on a laptop or the main PC but ive never stuck to it

I've been trying to understand the way the user interface with wayland works on the application developmenent level and try to develop my own "suckless" like utilities (without the small as hell codebase)
I really got indoctrinated into the FSF movement through the rants of DistroTube on youtube (before he became the most repeditive youtuber imaginable, or was I just clueless idk) and I love the concept of publicly owned and maintained software, Im using a lot more Free and Open Source software then closed source software and i like that, there is usage paradigms that go with those programs (most notible thing is the vim keybindings) that go everywhere a FOSS project goes there is a spirit of piracy in that, not modern day piracy, just the concept of building your own digital vessel, servicing it and sailing with it away

Since I've mentioned that im Israeli, and yeah im not ashamed of it. and since im here in this corner of the internet there will be a lot of people who will be pissed off by my Israeli pride and I get that, I really really do. If i could have my world my way i hoped there will be no war and no bloodshed in any side, beacause no mother deserves a dead son and no boy deserves a dead dad and it really doesnt matter in which side by my opinion. There are evil forces between the 2 nations which are rivaling us against each other and makes our lives miserable. personally i get pissed off each time i see that nobody is doing nothing to end that war. i just pray for better more peaceful times because its all i can do. we all deserve a happy loving home and it doesnt matter where you live and which religion youn belive in

but there are a lot of Israelis who afraid to show their identity on international settings (on the internet and anywhere its not israel)
beacause they are afraid to get caught up in the conflict. as an israeli the conflict follows you everywhere
and I know that there are many many kids in Gaza that have no homes because the IDF bommed their homes and I'm and israeli priviledged punk cannot fathem or comprehend their suffering that appearantly im causing. I get that, Unlike a lot of Israelis, I do carry the blame on me and still identify as an israeli, because i belive that we arent made only for war and for peace as well and i hope that my children will live a better life then i got. i hope my children have a palestinian friend to play soccer with at lunch break at school.
